Did you vote today?
Looks like it isn't going to pass. Either way, California is going to have to figure out what the hell to do with its life tomorrow morning...

This is a blog starring Four Cheap Sisters. They each have a goal for the year, each for different reasons: reduce the amount they consume. MomCat is here as well, to keep an eye on her kittens.
I voted last week...absentee.
ReplyDeleteI voted yes for the local bond for schools, no on all the state measures.
It seemd to me that all those measures did was delay the inevitable...they just want to put off the difficult decisions until later. The "Modernize the Lottery" one was particularly disingenuous. It also pissed me off that Arnie is threatening to sell off a bunch of state property to balance the budget. Jeez! Talk about short-sighted thinking! While we're at it, why don't we just close the state down and give everything over to Nevada, that'll cut the California budget entirely!
It's gonna hurt to make the cuts, but we gotta do it. If they want any tips on how to be frugal, they just need to check out our blog...
I wasn't able to vote because I hadn't sent in the paperwork for absentee voting before I had to go to Texas. I probably would have voted for everything except the one that would have pulled the money from the Children and Families First Commissions (prop 4 or 5, I think)
